Job description:

Are you an experienced Senior Business Analyst with Transfer Agency experience seeking a new opportunity? If so, our client a leading Asset Servicing firm has a permanent opportunity based in their Edinburgh office.

Essential:

Extensive experience working in an asset servicing/asset management/wealth platform firm as well as experience working in a Business Analyst and/or Project Management role, of which 2 years should be at Supervisory level

In-depth Transfer Agency knowledge & experience

An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the traditional and alternative investment industry and surrounding processes

Proven leadership, communication, presentation and relationship management skills

Core responsibilities:

Liaising with the operations teams to ensure that department development items are proactively identified, researched, tested and delivered in a cost-effective way

Develop and maintain strong relationships between operational, technical and Vendor contacts

Assist in the management of the team to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the agreed specification

Assist in the management of the team projects to ensure that they are implemented in line with group standards and is operational and organisational goals, from concept, through the Project Prioritisation process and on to delivery using a structured project management methodology

Management and provision of regular reporting to Senior management and other stakeholders, as necessary to support a proactive communications environment

Assist in the effective management of team through objective setting, ongoing assessment, development, training, motivation and appraisal

Represent the team in user group meetings acting as centralised point of contact

Ensure continuous platform development through proactive technology implementation and automation initiatives

Participate in management, client and prospective client meetings, workshops, reviews and presentations, as required

Monitor potential risks arising from project implementations, including risk to the firm by the revised operation and/or client and risk to the client and/or revised operation

Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved, specifically Internal

Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy

Maintain the firm's Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations

Alignment and consistency of approach to product change and system support between

Pro-actively resolve system support issues acting on an intermediary basis between the department globally and technical support staff

Represent the department in system upgrades and system development cycles
